Might want to consider an i3 with a 1060... That motherboard doesn't officially support overclocking as well. Another things is your single channel memory, someone recently did a video on single channel vs dual channel memory (think it was Jayztwocents?) and there was a big performance difference so that's a must. There is a version of the Node 202 that comes with a GOOD power supply so you might be able to save a couple bucks there. You should also look into getting a better value SSD, Samsungs are known for being a little bit pricey... Otherwise a great build in one of my favourite cases!

There's no difference in dual vs. single channel RAM and the PSU that comes with the case is usually terrible and that corsair thing is actually good.

So I'm going to overclock the G440, do I need another cooler for it?

I'm fine considering bottlenecks, right?

EDIT: Is the motherboard ok for OC?

You can't OC on that motherboard. I'd recommend this:

I saw a few vids about the G4400 being really good with the 1060 when overclocked!

The single channel RAM is simply just for adding an extra 8GB later on.

Hmm I'll look in to that 202 with a PSU.

Made it more balanced, overclock the 470 and you should come close to the 480 in games.

Hate to burst your bubble but the Fractal Design Node 202s PSU is their Integra series which are wonderful power supplies with great efficiency ratings... I know included PSUs are usually crap but this is truely an exception. I believe Linus recommended them as well!

EDIT: There is a difference in gaming when you use single vs dual channel but if he is planning to throw in another 8gb stick later it's fine.

Eh, I still will never trust PSUs that are included with cases...

There is an exception to every rule. This is the exception, it's their retail PSU that gets good reviews.

EDIT: just realised I'm using the wrong account xD

This is a really good value system, didn't select the cheapest parts, but I did select the cheapest reputable parts. I did use the 3gb 1060 (which is cheaper than the RX 480) because at 1080p you won't see a performance hit when compared to the 6gb (in VR and 1440p you would but this CPU couldn't handle that anyways and I doubt you will do that)

The problem is that the 3GB 1060 is missing 128 CUDA cores as well as the fact that many games nowadays regularly break the 3-3.5GB barrier.

It still beats the RX 480 and at 1080p he will rarely see a performance difference between the 3 and 6gb models (a couple of FPS)

It doesn't... Unless you can find proof.
