Not anymore, get the NVidia GTX 1070 instead, there are many options.

Dont get it, not worth it. Get a 1060 or a 480 instead

How much of a difference is there between the 480 and the 470? Is the 480 worth a jump from 200 to 280 USD?

They're very close, overclock the 470 and they become almost equal.

I was planning on overclocking the 480. Or at least trying.

Yeah, "trying". You'll be lucky if you get 5 extra frames out of this thing. In that sense the 1060 is a beast.
