I was looking into getting rainmeter set up but before i spend countless hours into making sure everything is how I want with that I was wondering if anyone has had similar programs or maybe a lightweight program that is constantly on the desktop that shows hardware info like temp etc..

I use Rainmeter with an expanded skin that shows GPU temo and a whole bunch of other stuff. It actually requires HWinfo64 to be running in the background, and I quite like it. 

 

Cannot remember the name of the skin though...

Different PCPartPickers for different countries:
