I'm building a PC for my dad to use instead of his shitty HP work laptop he uses. He really enjoys Minecraft, and I want to build something that will let him play things like Paladins, KSP, Factorio, CSGO, Cities: Skylines etc... Not hardcore AAA titles, but fun little pastimes he can enjoy. My main concern with this build is whether I should upgrade the CPU or not. I'm really strapped on cash, but I also know how much difference 4 physical cores can make. What are you guys' opinions on this build?

get a 240 gig ssd.

He already has has a 500gb SSD with Linux on it that he uses with his Laptop, he can easily put it in the PC. The 120gb would purely be for Windows games, as he rarely uses windows for anything else.

I'd say save money and get an RX 460 instead.  (Since he doesn't play AAA titles)

And what all does he use his laptop for.  If he has to have a lot of files for work (on top of the games you mentioned) 120GB seems a little tight.

I'll consider this. The SSD size bump isn't really necessary.

Having bumped down the GPU, I think this build probably will run pretty solidly.

EDIT: After looking into benchmarks, I'm going to stick with the RX 470. I don't think it performs well enough to be worth the cost.
