I have a really amazing deal on a local website for SteelSeries Rival 100 Mouse.

It usually sells for equivalent of ~$45 but today it is selling for ~$30.

Is it worth getting?

I am currently using a $5 HP Mouse and I play CS GO casually for leisure.

No. It's a $20 mouse at best. Bad plastic, bad sensor, and subpar software settings compared to the better models of the Rival. If you want a cheap quality mouse then look into a Logitech. If you can get a good deal on it the Nixeus Revel isn't bad.

I do not agree with maxbunny, it is the best budget mouse on the market by far, nothing comes close atm because this mouse did not cut features. The sensor is fine, I think maxbunny has the sensors mixed up because the mouse has the Pixart SDNS-3059-SS sensor and not the older version. It is a great product and really cheap, truly one of if not the best bang for buck mice.

The plastic finish would like to have a word with you.

The only mice currently worth buying on the market.

Logitech G Pro.

Logitech G403 wired.

Nixeus Revel. This one can be found for quite cheap every once in awhile on Massdrop. Last time it dropped to $32 USD excluding shipping.

DM1 Pro S.

Stop buying mice with garbage sensors. If you don't care about having the latest sensor, just keep using the office mouse that you currently have. Otherwise, save up for one of the above 4 options. All 4 of them have the 3366/0.

The Rival 100 is ~120 grams. What a joke. Its an expensive paperweight at best.

Userreviews are very positive 4.5 out of 5 stars, so steelseries must be doing something right in that pricesegment with this specific mouse! The other mice named above are twice the price of the rivas100. You can not compare mice that far apart, totally different.

It's around a $10-$15 price difference here for all but the ugly colored model. I considered it but it was too damn ugly and I didn't want to cheat myself out of a quality mouse to save a small amount.

To make pricing more clear, a Logitech G402 is $38 with discount in my country,

Is the pricing good?

By editing the original post, the mouse suddenly seems a lot better.
Also, when looking at the guys location it seems like a sweet deal - I don't know the usual shipping cost associated with buying stuff outside of India and having to import them.
In my own case, a 419$/375€ product in the US quickly becomes a 512$/459€ product - That's a lot of tax, VAT and shipping.

It seems like an awesome price. Think of it as a "bottom price" for an "outdated" mouse which has a newer version released.
I bought my own mouse at the same price, while at new it was more than twice the price o.O

Between the two I'd take the G402. I've tried the R100, but not that much in games (only a few minutes) and it's an okay starter mouse (and way better than your 5$ HP mouse). I'm semi-biased, and like Logitech>Steelseries both in product lineup, build quality, production and software. And honestly I dislike Steelseries to some degree (I hate their entire new lineup :/), but not up to a point where I wouldn't recommend a product to either someone who can't get anything else or doesn't want anything else (i.e fanboys :P).

I won't bother you with talk about buttons, and sensors. What we need to focus on is your crappy 5$ HP mouse, and get you <ANY> upgrade xD
The G402 beats the R100, unless you're not comfortable with the shape of the G402.

Pricing in India is insane. 1 USD = 66 Indian Rupees but a $300 Product is 30,000 Indian Rupees which makes 1 dollar = 100 Indian Rupees.

Thanks for the suggestion. I already ordered it though before deal ran out.

Importing stuff here is a nightmare, first of all only Newegg ships here but their shipping costs are insane secondly there is no warranty. So importing is a big No.

I like my stuff minimalistic and my Setup is all Red and Black so G402 with Blue color, weird (for me) shape and a higher price is a No.

Sorry to trouble you again but oh this festive season. I have an amazing deal on Logitech G302 which is actually going for a bit cheaper than this.

So R100 or G302?
