Fans not working

I woke up this morning to find out all my 3 fans stopped working. Only CPU is spinning. 

 

Any ideas why?

this may sound stupid, but are the pins connected on your motherboard with your case fan(s) cable(s)?

have you checked the connection of the power supply to the motherboard and the fans to the Motherboard?

Look into BIOS fan controller and check if they are recognised.

They were connected to a small "button" on the back of the case, which i could control the speed of them. That "button" was of course connected to the PSU cables.

I checked and what i did was to remove it from the place it was and connected it directly into the motherboard. I lost the physical button which allowed me to control the fans though. I connected it to where the circle is:  

 

but there's that one on the top right which has 4 pins. i guess i connected it to the right place.

They were not. It said N/A. But now that they're working again, it still says that.

Have you tried powering them by different means? Ie a different header?

I only have that 2 headers, the fan connectors are 3 pins only so i guess it wont work on the 4 pins on the motherboard

Yeah 4 pin headers will work

Connected to the mobo the fans are working again, i guess that the physical thing died somehow

 

Still strange though, i can't control the fans using Speedfan. There's no "software controlled" option under the PWM mode.

3 pin fans will run full speed unless controlled through BIOS means... in other words you can control them from inside bios, like set a speed or fan curve from in there.. or from a controller software such as motherboard software etc that can change stuff in biod such as fan speeds.

Easiest way is to set a fan curve IMO.
