Hey guys,

I Just want to know why my port forwarding is not working.

I followed all my steps from this site:

https://goo.gl/fBozkz

This site tells me what to do on exactly my modem.

I followed the instructions made the server but it still doesnt work!

I did hamachi and it worked but I am just curious on how to fix it as its just more easier to do without 3rd party programs!!

Thank you any help would be gladly appreciated

Try turning off windows firewall. Also try testing if your port is open http://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/

Wait, is this server for internal use or are you using it to access the server over the internet? What OS is the server running?

Also, please let us know what your computer IP address is, and the server IP address.

No, you cannot use the same IP address for 2 machines, they need to be unique. Otherwise how does that traffic know which computer to go to if both are using the same address? Change one of them.

So I know Hamachi gives you an IP - don't confuse the hamachi IP and your computer's IP - they should be unique/different than each other.

When you test your port, make sure the minecraft server is actually running (if there's nothing listening on the port and a test is run then the test will not get a reply back). What router do you have, or if you feel like it post some screenshots of the port forwarding rules you've created.

When your friend connects, he needs to use your public IP address: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=what+is+my+ip
