Motherboard usb issue?

Hey people,

 

So i just got a new motherboard and everything was going fine, went into options to check some settings and change the boot order, pc reboots as i'm ready to install windows (usb) but now it wont accept keyboard or mouse commands, its stuck on the (insert bootable device and press any key)

 

I have no idea what my next move is?

what keyboard do you have?

razer something 2016 chroma, it was working in the bios settings menu, strange that it wont work now.

Ive tried that, like i said its not accepting any keyboard commands.

Try a different USb port then, if it still won't work on ANY USB ports, find another keyboard just to be able to enter BIOS and check the USB settings.

I have never tried this but would removing the cmos battery hard reset the mobo?

Yes, you can reset the CMOS by removing the battery, make sure the PC is off when you do this of course

 

All it will do is reset to motherboard defaults.

Removing the cmos battery worked, was able to install windows with no issues.
