Help! How to update BIOS

Hello all,

I have a foxconn h55m-s motherboard. I wanted to update the bios. I downloaded the correct .zip file and i'm presented with this: http://imgur.com/a/j5QDG what do i do? The .exe says it can't be executed.

Did you extract it all before trying to run it?

Yes, it simply just says that it can't be executed.

have you tried right click on exe "run as administrator + compatibility mode xp SP2" ?

 

if it doesn't work try other compatibility modes.

running as admin wont work, it says it cant find the file. also, the live update doesnt launch

try to boot in safe mode and do it again ?

 

or try an older version of bios, I saw there was like 5 with minor updates lastly

i tried older versions too.

can you please post exact error message ? why do you want to update the BIOS for ?

there was a crash in the older bios where it would crash after installing 16g of ram. I managed to update the bios now, though. Had to disable defender & firewall. Thanks for your patience though!
