i can get IPS, 75 hz, freesync... for 140 euros.

For FPS games absolutely like everyone else said. 

 

Even for Moba games such as LoL, Dota 2, Sc2, etc.. it's a worthy investment.

You can get a 27" 144hz freesync for ~$350 USD

This. For me it's not just for fps games, it's for every game that allows more than 60 fps.
Not just about responsiveness but the overall smoothness.

The OP didn't say they were playing games.

 

For normal applications like Word, PowerPoint, Excel and browsing the internet, a standard monitor is fine.
