Hi, so, my Asus Z170-A motherboard is dead and I live in Canada. Is the costumer care here as bad as I heard it was in other countries? (Couldn't find costumer care reviews that came from CA). I just want to have an idea on the potential trouble there is to come.

Thanks.

I can't help you with that sadly, but I can tell you that my Asus Z170-A died today as well/it was a DOA MoBo. Seems there is a pretty high quote of dead Z170-A MoBos

Do you know if this high ''death rate'' of Z170-A mobos are from asus or from other manufacturers? Also I just decided to not take any chances and I gave my mobo to a computer shop where they could handle the warranty for me. I'd rather pay a little to get it back quickly without any trouble than to wait a month or more to get it back, my studies depend on this computer so I just had to get it back up ASAP.

Same here. I was offered to use another Asus Z170-A, which takes 3 days to ship and try it with a new board, if it isn't working I can get my money back and switch to another board.
Hopefully the second Z170-A will work.

€: Every manufacturer can have dead boards, but I find more and more people complaining about issues with the Z170-A and the almost same Z170-Deluxe.
I think Asus has a bad series of boards or something, because the amount doesn't seem normal to me.
I would say the board is great from what it is capable of, but you have to be lucky to get a working one.

I kind of just feel slightly cursed with this board, because if it fails another time, I just have no money to put in another brand to end up this problem...

Actually, I hadn't tought of that! Thanks for reminding me ^^'

No problem^^ I had to pay 39 bucks to get it checked that it is the mainboard, but that is not necessary. So you don't have to spent more money. Hopefully it works fine for you now
