Hi guys. As I earn money for my next build, I want to have some input from you to list some parts that can achieve my needs.

Basically I want to build a system that is low noise if not 0db silent as much as possible keep it quiet. This build is for gaming at 720p maybe 1080p at the future. I want to keep the cost as low as possible but can achieve medium settings on mainstream games such as DOTA2 and CSGO. And if possible I want it to have a small footprint because I have only small room.

My current PC has the following parts:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 840 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor https://pcpartpicker.com/product/QCXfrH/amd-cpu-hdx840wfgmbox

MOBO: MSI 760GM-P23 (FX) Micro ATX AM3+ Motherboard https://pcpartpicker.com/product/fHH323/msi-motherboard-760gmp23fx

HDD: WD Blue 500GB
PSU: 250W
RAM: HyperX 8GB 1333Mhz

GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 7750 1GB Video Card https://pcpartpicker.com/product/gmtCmG/sapphire-video-card-112020020g

I think, I can salvage the GPU and RAM. How about the MOBO and CPU? do I need to change MOBO and CPU?

Thank you for any input :D

I currently play PUBG, help me get chicken dinner xD

I don't think you can salvage the GPU for gaming, but you might be able to put an FX-8300 (only AM3+ CPU I recommend) into your motherboard. Do check whether you can do it, it might be compatible.

Then get an aftermarket CPU cooler that can handle the CPU, and tweak the CPU until you can keep it cool without the fans kicking in hard.

You will need a new PSU. Honestly the silent ones are expensive however, starting at around $80. Look for EVGA G2 or GS as they tend to be affordable and silent.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

I'd say wait for Zen or Kaby Lake to come out in 2-4 months, but if you can't go with an i3-6100 as it has an upgrade path to i7-6700k. Also I'm not positive but I think any CPU with an LGA 1151 socket will work with those new Intel chips. Also I'd highly recommend a 80+ Gold Certified PSU at least, the EVGA G2 550W is one I plan to get. The reason why I advise the i3-6100 over any current AMD product is because it actually beats the FX 6 core CPU's. Besides the fact that I don't think past AMD chips will work on AM4 Motherboards.

The FX-8300 cost about $170 here vs i3-6100 only cost about $116. But if I change my motherboard to an intel compatible one...$72 for a motherboard and another $42 for the RAM total of $230 but it will allow me to use DDR4 memory which is a good thing(because it is new and fast) and also intel has low power consumption compared to FX-8300 which in the long run will save some money.

These are what available in my country:
CPU: i3-6100 Link

MOBO: ASUS H110M[Link] / GIGABYTE GA-H170M[Link]
RAM: KINGSTON 8GB 2133MHZ DDR4[Link]
PSU: THERMALTAKE SMART SE 530W 80+[Link]

Also I am considering to use AIO water cooler but that will be for the future.

Thanks for giving a time to help me out.

No kidding, AMD stuff is way overpriced over there.

Don't get that power supply, it's not good. Get this one instead.

(@STRMfrmXMN please confirm that it's a whitelist unit, it's an Andyson but Andyson has some bad ones)

Honestly though, the power supply market in your country is shameful. Is it possible for you to import a PSU from Japan, Malaysia, Hong Kong or similar?

What Tier? I don't see a review, but perhaps there's a review of a unit that's the same platform out there

It is better than the Thermaltake Smart SE 530W right?

I can almost always assume any PSU is better than the Smart SE, but based on reviews of the other Strike X units it's basically just loud and doesn't get 80 PLUS Silver efficiency. It gets bronze and performs well enough and I'd put it at a tentative tier 3 if you ignore the fake efficiency stuff.

Lol, I found this roughly translated review of it http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=pl&ie=UTF8&prev=_t&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=auto&tl=en&u=http://pccentre.pl/article/show/aerocool-strike-x-600w/id%3D17721

Eh it's marketed as bronze everywhere I see it. Loud is a concern but not for budget seekers, and it can't be louder than my Extreme Power Plus that I could hear a room away, with the door closed

Thanks,  taught it was good because some review says that it has good wave (I can't recall the term). Your suggested power supply is good, it only add a little to the budget. But I just want to ask, how about the cooler master b600?

Is Thermaltake Se that bad? I recently just learned that a bad power supply gives a headache in the long run so I am cautious in buying my next PSU.

If you feel like doing a dangerous PSU mod that may void your warranty but will make the PSU more silent, shoot me a PM

It's about on-par with the Thermaltake SE, so yes, they're both pretty mediocre though I'd be more partial to the B600. It's not a very good PSU though.
