Uh... sorry, but I find it hard to see how a 4670k + cooler and Z97 mobo has a comparable price to a 6100 + H110 moob and no cooler. I really do. Are you sure you didn't make a typo for an i5 6400 rather than a 6100?

That's a question that doesn't make sense, given their price points. You are comparing products at 2 completely different price points, which hardly makes it fair.

 

Taking the i5 as a reference, a proper answer (and question) would be, as I said, getting the 6400 with a Gtx 960 rather than a 4670k + 760. Or getting a 6400 + 960 instead of a 6600k + 760. Now you are comparing stuff that's actually worth comparing. Alternatively, taking the i3 as a reference, I'd say 6100 + 760 would be smarter than 4150 + 960, given the upgrade path.

It's fine, I suppose. Medium range CPU and GPU, it's a good pair if that's all one can spend.

 

As for game, pretty much anything. Just be prepared to lower settings and not get amazing FPS at times.
