So I've always been interested in flight sims (working on pilots license irl atm as well lol) and I recently picked up a copy of the steam Microsoft flight sim x. I found the game nearly impossible to play with kb/m, so I'm interested in getting like a flight joystick stick thing. Price range is ideally less than 50$, though I would consider going up to like 75$ or slightly more if I can get something much better. Used is fine. Any suggestions?

I have a Saitek flight yoke and throttle quadrant that I will be happy to sell you. I will need to drag it out and double check it all works first.

You could go pricier by adding rudder controls but this is a good place to start.

You're stepping into very dangerous territory. It starts with a cheap set and then a 2nd mortgage.

Take your time though.

I made a lot of stuff back in the day, with things like an arduino hid board like a Leopold micro it's actually very easy now as well. vjoy also helps, $5 ps2 type controller and some bk10 pots can make a dual throttle and 2 trim wheels box with 10 buttons.  Just depends how handy you are vs what tools you've got available.

Civilian flight is kinda weird with a combat stick though and I'm yet to see a good diy yoke/quadrant that hasn't been re-purposed from a light aircraft for thousands of $$.

Silent build - You know your pc is too loud when the deaf complain. Windows 98 gaming build, smells like beige
