so after i had to wipe my drive and reinstall windows, another issue has arrived,

when i use steam and i go to move a chat window or any window to do with steam (the client its self, chat windows, friends list window)

my steam will freeze up and be super super slow. and it doesn't move the window, becase well it lags steam so bad then i have to close all the windows then open steam again to fix it, or wait like 5 min for it to fix its self,

i know you will say reinstall it, but ill do that before i got to bed so i can re download all my games over night

Future Upgrades

VVVVVVVVVVVVV

5: RAM upgrade, i want 16gb of black ram

Said your HDD was wiped? Why? Is it new?

no my windows decided to fuck up and give me a protocol failed to call or some error like that when i tried to log in to my computer, so i had to reinstall to fix that.

beforehand windows was running fine for 2 or 3 months

Drive specs? HDD? SSD? 5200 or 7200. Maybe the drive went bad. Does the system lock up while transferring large files?

well it seems to be just steam right now. when steam is freaking out and freezing (not the white not responding screen it does NOT do that)  i can go on chrome or anythign else even play a steam game just fine.

its a 7200 rpm WD blue, its over one year old, will be 2 years old this december. never had issues with my drive before

How does steam act and which steps for reproducing the problem, like system on, fresh start and then...? How does steam look. Post a screen shot, had that been possible.

how it acts its this.

when i click on the top of a window to drag it to move it, it wont move like its frozen (the glitch happens as soon as i click on a part of the window that allows you to move the position of the window)

if i have a chat open and do it, and i go back to type while its freezing it will put some letters i type and it will type some over like 5 sec then stop.

steam looks normal, if you were just looking you wouldn't think anything untill you click and or try to type then it wont let you, (while its acting up)

and yes i have restarted steam
