Wierd game problem

Hi.

 

Im probably noobing af, but i have to bow to the masters and ask about something i dont understand about a build im doing for my friend.

 

Problem:

I have just testet with World Of Warcraft(He will only be playing this), but for some reason i get some wierd FPS ingame. When i am running around i have 45 FPS, and the GPU load is on 30%, and around 600mhz. Out of the blue it goes up to about 875mhz and 90-100 fps (Ingame fps set to 100 in WOW settings). The CPU is at 35% with boost functions of so it runs at 4.2Ghz all the time. I have all settings on LOW/Level 1

 

I am not able to get the video card to use more juice, even if i use EVGA Precision to bump up clock/power limit etc.

Any ideas why it would not run at closer to max speeds to give me more FPS? NVIDIA 3D settings is set to max performance.

 

Build:

MSI 970 AM3+

FX6300 - Clocked to 4.2

EVGA Geforce 1060 3GB SC

16Gb Mem

850Evo SSD

Fractal Design 450 Watt psu

 

 

VRAM while ingame is at 50% with 1.5GB free, a lot of ram free, so i dont understand why the GPU will not boost up to normal speeds to give me more fps!!

At what point, if any is the GPU thermal throttling?

 

I mean, I'm not an expert on the subject but I don't think that WoW is terribly demanding as a game.

See if you can change something in your GPU's program if it has one. It may be a software issue that is bottlenecking it.

Yeah i changed the NVIDIA settings now and it runs constantly at 1607mhz now, but uses only 8% ingame and still the same FPS.

CPU still running 35%

 

Any other tips?

That is strange. I'd contact the GPU manufacturer and see if they could help you out. Sorry if I wasn't that much of a help!
