Iphone 6s Cracked

I am buying a cracked iphone 6s, you may be wondering, why are you buying it cracked? I found one for a steal that is locked (not icloud locked so it just needs a factory reset) and shattered just for $60. Where can I buy a screen + digitizer. I am finding varied results. Mostly iphone 6 screens and  the questions in amazon when people ask if it works on the 6s are 50/50 yes and no. Should I buy a iphone 6 screen or 6s screen? Where do i buy one? Thanks!

Yeah don't worry about it I'm an idiot, I would not recommend buying a broken phone since it may have other more serious issues than just the screen, as for the parts those also are hit or miss, sorry for my confusion and stupid reply

You’re fine to be talking about this here. He thought you meant the software of the device was altered or something sketchy was going on. A broken screen is no big deal, when I broke my iPhone 6 screen I sent it to apple and paid $50 and the sent me a whole iPhone with headphones and everything. Since you don’t own it or have a contract it may be more difficult, or not!? You never know. Generally, though, I stay away from used technology. Especially if it advertised as broken. There could be a lot more wrong with it. $60 is the perfect amount to scam people with it.

you have a point, it did seem to good to be true. I'll ask him if he has the contracts and stuff still, or if he has a warranty/ apple care. But chances are super low because this guy is selling it broken.

Just be careful man. Most people wouldn’t have one of them sitting around. If you upgrade to a new phone you almost always trade in your old one, even if it is broken. Does it turn on?

I haven't seen photos (it's a craigslist posting) The only photo i see is the screen shattered, badly. He says he will bring it charged to prove that it turns on but he says "its locked" and when i ask him if its icloud locked he says he doesent know what it is. What he described it as is the phone is just locked with a password and he cant get into it. A factory reset should fix it the lock problem. I will meet him in person so I can back out last second if it doesn't function properly.

It could be stolen. I would ask him to do a factory reset before you see it. Otherwise, I would not be interested. You shouldn't be trying to reset things after you buy them, even on craigslist. Factory unlocking the phone to accept a micro sim card is another story, but the phone should be like brand new software wise. It should say “Hello” or ask you for a language to select when you see it.

I see, just sent him a text.He said he did not know how. 

NExt text, I told him to look a up a video on youtube because it honestly isn't that hard... and he hasn't responded. I'm gonna be driving home for the next 30 to 45 minutes to I'll keep you posted. I ddi not give him my number lol, I'm using google voice because I dont trust craiglist or any local selling website's numbers. (omg that still exists, its from android 4.4 or something)
