My current rig comes in just under 2k, with a 1070, 6700k 32gb RAM, and high end peripherals it could be a good starting point for you. You would probably want to half the RAM (I do a lot of virtualization) and take off the Astros, and get a bit of a nicer case, but ya good system to take a look at
