Beefy GPU vs 720p TV

Hey guys I'm thinking about picking up a gtx 1060 and it suddenly hit me that the tv I'm using is only 720p! I'd like to know what you guys think would I see any added benefits with this configuration? In the long run I could invest in an actual monitor to play in 1080p or 1440p but not til december when I have a bit of disposable income.

thats fine just run your games at like ULTRA settings and use DSR to run it at 1080p or something

I may also suggest turning off AA when using DSR at 720p. It won't be required if he's rendering the game at 1080p and downsampling it to a 720p panel.

If you're considering picking up a GTX 1060, that means you have between $250 and $300 to spend. A 23" 1080p IPS monitor should be about $100, and instead of a GTX 1060, you could invest in an RX 470 or a 3GB 1060.
