What are your thoughts?

I want to get Mirror's Edge Catalyst. Been paying for real price but MEC is 80 CAD and too much for me.

Both selling for cheap. Do I need to know anything before I buy? I will get shield since only few bucks more.

Neither. By it legitimately from an unauthorized reseller and stop being a cheap bastard that buys anything from anyone just to save a few bucks. Games are a luxury, not an entitlement.

I agree with the guy above, buy it legitimately from an authorized dealer rather than unethically obtaining it and screwing over the devs.

I don't get why you said that. As a trader all games are always at sale prices for me, and I get them all for free through trading.

^That's a legitimate retailer, and with the pound going down after Brexit you can get better deals from them than other online stores. It comes to around $43 according to Google and you won't have to worry about some Russian credit card thief's copy revoking.

They are gray markets where anyone can sell on it. A lot of keys are obtained by purchasing in large volumes using bad credit cards. They receive the keys and then the credit card is rejected a few days later.

Because unlike G2A/Kinguin they get their keys directly from the publishers. They're an authorized reseller, authorized by the companies that publish the games. G2A/Kinguin get their games from fraud, humble bundles, free promos via multiple accounts, sales to resell, from posing as reviewers to get dev keys, etc.

The only one that gets their games legitimately is cdkeys. They've been investigated and actually do buy regionally lower priced box copies to resell the codes. That type of business is fine and boxed versions have no regional restrictions on them. But I only get my games from authorized sources.

Dear dexxterlab97,

We would like to inform that G2A is fully legitimate Marketplace. It is absolutely secure to purchase products from our Marketplace.

We have developed many security systems that keep verifying all codes being sold on our Marketplace. The risk of purchasing a used code is absolutely minimal. Even though if that happens G2A deployed G2A Shield that secures all your purchases so you could get an instant refund or resolve the problem with a seller.

Should you have any issues or questions, do not hesitate to contact our support team at helpdesk(at)g2a(dot)com

Regards,

Jake
