can you return the cpu?

The 6300 is meh, he could upgrade to an 8350 in the future if he wants to eliminate bottlenecks.

so the i3 is much better?

Yes, plus you could get an i5 or i7 in the future without a new motherboard, however an i3 won't work with your motherboard, I'd get an FX-8350 later when you have the money so there isn't any bottlenecks.

i like linux

Yes, but that would cost a lot, and from his budget I don't think he'll need that.

i forgot to mention one thing. i've already  got all the part and put it together. i did choose a psu but i thought it wasn't a good one.

also i was thinking about upgrading tho the 8350.

i also was wondering what happen if i change the motherboard and cpu and still use the same ssd and hdd?

nothing. evertyhing will be nice. Windows 10 now support for mobo change so you get to keep os unless you replace everything.

You might lose your product key, you can use the "Contact support" app to get a new one though.

i'll take your guys advice and change my cpu. if i can still use win from my existent ssd then it'll be great. if not then i'll just re-install it.

also intel naming always confuse me.

you said i should get the i3 correct?
