So i wanted to benchmark my oc gtx 1080 strix and everything worked fine, however whenever i oc my gpu over 2100MHz fire strike (1080p, demo version) crashes and i don't know if that is gpu fault or maybe fire strike. also before fire strike crashes, my monitor is going black for half a second and then come back, this happens few times (1-3) before a crash

EDIT: also i have 6700K as my processor (didn't oc it) and i want to ask if maybe my gpu is bottlenecked

so will that happens all the time or just in fire strike ?

2100MHz is really pushing it.

It depends on the silicone lottery, most 1080 won't hit that magical 2100MHz stable.

Just overclock slowly until you reach the point where it start crashing or gives you artifacts then you know that's the limit of your card.
