So I'm looking to get a 1080 acx superclocked or FTW (not to sure yet but something EVGA). I know that there are different blower types for the fans on a GPU and I'm not sure how to tell what cases work better with certain GPU's. I was hoping that I could put the 1080 in a corsair carbide 400c but I'm not sure wether the case is optimised for blower fans or the other type of fans (don't know any of them but blower)

Thanks for the help

smaller case get the blower style for bigger cases that can move much more air about get the other.

there is nothing stopping you putting either in any case, even the none blower coolers can be fine in a smaller case so long as there is away to get the heat away from it.

The 400C has a plenty of fan options for exhausting the heat of the 1080 so an open air styled cooler would do well since they tend to cool better and are quieter than blower coolers. In a more cramped case like a RVZ02, there's no room for active exhaust and a blower cooler's ability to isolate its cooling from the rest of the system is beneficial by not trapping more heat inside of the case.
