You will need ar least an i7, for each gamer to get an equivant cpu to an i3, and three gpus, it isn't cheap at all, going for two seperate systems is cheaper as all you save money on is the case/psu.

That video was more of a gimmick than anything practical, sure it can be done but it's very difficult and time-consuming, and I doubt it's doable for cheaper. I don't reccomend trying it unless you have the time, money and EXPERIENCE.

At minimum I would recommend is a dual 1366 system, and some cheap used gpus two for the gaming, and one for the host that just needs to display, but you only get the performance of a single 1366 cpu.

 

You will also have to look at free solution other then unraid, such as vmware, or archlinux and kvm, with vmware Nvidia gtx cards will not work, and all of these take a bit of time, and learning to setup properly.
