Hey guys,

So I want to buy a rocket league steam cd key for a cheap price so decided to look for it on G2A. So, I search for the game (This is the link) https://www.g2a.com/rocket-league-steam-cd-key-global.html and it does not say that it is available in English ( I am from US). It does say GLOBAL so does this mean I can use it and it will be in English? Just really confused about that works. Thank you.

Global works for all the "available languages". The UK flag signifies english.

Buying from G2A entails the risk of having the key you bought be illegitimate (bought in bulk with a stolen credit card), which is very bad for developers and could result in your game key being deactivated.

At $20, I don't see why anyone would feel like the price tag on Rocket League is too much.

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

Yes, under "languages available", you can see a British Flag - that means English.

Please keep in mind that G2A is a key reseller market. The resellers themselves can get the keys from anywhere, and are usually grey market keys (Keys bought in say, Russia, for pennies on the dollar, and resold to Westerners), or possibly even stolen keys or bought with stolen credit cards.

The devs basically make no money from your purchase.

There's also a chance that the keys will be revoked by Steam, hence why G2A sells their "shield insurance". When a company sells insurance against you buying a fraudulent key, that should raise red flags.

Yet lots of people still use them, or simply don't care. Use at your own risk. I will personally never give G2A a penny of my money. If I want a game and can't afford the regular price, I'll just wait for a Steam Sale.

For Sale: Meraki Bundle

I have bought a couple of games. They've all worked so far.

Thanks for the insight! Never knew this about G2A and just heard good things about it. @dalekphalm @Energycore

Think of it this way - that would be like if eBay charged you an insurance fee against the possibility that the seller scams you.

Obviously that's ridiculous, and eBay offers protection to all buyers and sellers, and of course, stolen goods are against eBay policy.

G2A (and sites like it, like Kinguin) is honestly sketchy, and the fact that they charge you a fee for protecting against fraud, says all I'll ever need to know about their service, and the legitimacy of it.

With that in mind, I can't stop you from using it. Many people do and most of them have working keys. Hell, I'll never even know if you do buy it.

Just some food for thought :)

Yes I agree. But in some cases Russian keys (happen to me when my friend gave me cs go he bought in russia with a russian account) might not available and can not be redeemed in other countries so you should be aware of region too. In your case is Global so you should be fine.

And yes sometimes Steam Sale can get huge discount up to 75-80%

The game is now for 20USD but discounts can go as low as G2a or even lower

@dexxterlab97 chill bro lol. Just wanted to make sure it would activate in my country. Never used G2A before, obv you have lol

I understand. But you should be looking at Region. Language is usually changeable. Region is what defines which place can be activated. You can get shield for 1-2 dollars more and it will gurantee a working key

Oh that's true about certain regions. If you buy a key in a low-economic region with significantly lower prices, that key often doesn't work in other regions (eg: USA). But Global Keys should work everywhere.

You prob don't know the answer but is there any time other than the steam summer sale there are really good sales on rocket league? @dexxterlab97@dalekphalm@Energycore@Daveeede

Valve never announce when the Sale is happening

Wait for anniversary date or some special events like Halloween, Black Friday, Chrstimas

Also good to know that RL is published/developed by Psyonix so something like Psyonix birthday could come in handy when you might expect a sale

I bought Left 4 Dead 2 for a friend of mine for 5 USD (it is now at 20USD) and considering that these huge sales could happen easily then you better off with that if you can wait. RL is selling for 20 USD and 10 USD at G2A.

YES Rocket League does go on sale.

As mentioned by Dex, pretty much any Holiday (That is, common US/Canadian Holiday) will have a sale of some sort. Black Friday, Christmas, Boxing Day, and Summer Sale are generally the best deals. There are sales during Halloween, but horror games (or games more thematically appropriate towards Halloween) tend to get the best deals.
