Hi guys,

Just like alot of people in looking to upgrade my pc (around 20 okt), with my budget being around €900.

I would like to get some tips or suggestions if i should or shouldn't buy the part.

I did some research and have come up with some decent stuff, first here's my current setup:

CPU: AMD Athlon X4 860K

GPU: Geforce GTX MSI N750Ti TF

MB: MSI A78M-E45

RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 2 x 4GB DDR3 1600 MHz

SSD: Samsung 850 Pro Series

HD: WD Black WD1003FZEX 1TB SATA-600

Case: Thermaltake Urban S31 Window

Power: Antec VP600P 600 Watt 230V

So i was thinking about replacing the MB, RAM, CPU and GPU

I had these parts in mind:

MB: MSI h170a gaming pro

CPU: Intel I-5 6500

GPU: MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X 8G

RAM: Corsair Vengeance cmk16gx4m2b3000c15

(DDR4 2 x 8GB 3000 MHz)

If you think i'm doing something wrong or could better pick different parts, let me know.

Especially with the RAM, MB and type of 1070 i should pick.

Ty in advance for helping me out.

-Luke

the i5 6500 will  bottleneck your 1070. even the 6600k does a bit. so what im saying is get a 6700k or 6700 to go with that 1070

I got a feeling that the 6600 and especcialy the 6700 might be a overkill. Since the only thing i use my computer for is gaming and streaming media.

I don't stream or capture and don't edit videos.

Anyone else can confirm / deny?

And if anyone else has to add something different for my MB or RAM also very appreciated

With the 6500, you can go with the cheapest H110 motherboard and see no real loss of performance.  That might save you a bit of cash.  H110, B150 and H170 motherboards only support 2133MHz RAM.  You have 3000MHz RAM selected in our list.

Either find the cheapest Z170 board (AsRock, Gigabyte probably), or drop the RAM down to a slower kit.
