GTX 1070 Size

So Recently ive been out to a few places and tried Out the vive and i love it, but by pc cant run it so im about to buy myself a gtx 1070 (Armor) from msi. ive looked at the size and i dont think it will fit in my crappy case. In that case you should not worry about depth. It is the height of that card that could be problematic. 

Due to the height of this card, the power cables will not fit inside of the case with the side panel on.

Even then it's a risk. Try measuring the length between the top of the pci card and the metal on the top of the case. That card would need at least 2 inches.

You could always cut a hole in the side panel or leave it off or I would recommend buying a new case, like the GameMax Falcon.
