(.Y.)GTX 970 SSC, worth OC?

GuNjAX_3030

Hello everyone, im fairly new to oc but learning from my mistakes. I have Evga an Gtx 970 ssc, & have it slightly oc. current Gpu clock: 1270mhz Memory: 1798mhz, I use Evga's PercisionX 16 for oc. Power Target at 101%, Gpu Clock Offset:+80mhz, memory clock offset: +90mhz. But honestly i cant really tell a dif' but the only game im playing is csgo, which is not an graphically intense game. But to me this seems like the most stable safest oc. Few weeks ago I had turned up mhz lil higher (Power: 108% Clock:150mhz Mem:300mhz) and when i play cs after a lil while, i get a grey frozen screen with sound looping, & have to reboot. Is this what occurs when you Oc isen't stable? And can you guys tell me from your experiences what are thr other signs of an "Unstable OC". And my other question is, is it really that worth it in performance Oc a SSC? Since its already "Super Super overclocked"? If any one has any good experiences oc a 970 Ssc, would appreciate how you oc yours =)

Before beginning a video card overclocking always increase the power target and temperature target to the max. It will give you a better OC. Also set the priority to the temperature target. All 970's should do +100 Core and +300 Memory very easily.

I have triple 60hz monitors. As long as I'm getting minimum 60 frames I don't bother overclocking.
