Halo 5 Forge Pc - Multiplayer required

Hi

 

I downloaded Halo 5 forge for pc a few days ago and have run into a problem. I am on the main menu screen (screen shots will be included) and I press enter as the game prompts you to. I then get a red banner message appear on my screen with a bold title of "Multiplayer Required". It then goes on to say "Multiplayer Privileges are currently Disabled. to check or change your Privacy and online settings go to Xbox.com." As it says, I go to xbox.com and navigate to my privacy settings. I'm met with a long list of settings I could change, non of which say "enable multiplayer Privileges" (i didn't expect it to). I just don't know which settings to change. Anyone know what the settings ii need to change are. Any help is much appreciated. On a side note, I don't have Xbox Live Gold but as far as I'm aware this shouldn't be a problem as my friend doesn't have gold either (he just has an MS account like me) And he can play the game perfectly fine.
