It's basically fine the way it is, but I'd make a small suggestion.

Get a basic CM Hyper 212 EVO cooler instead of the Corsair Hydro and use the money saved to get at least a 120Gig SSD to use as the OS boot drive (and often used apps/games).

You could also get a cheaper 550 watt (80+) power supply, if necessary to afford the SSD.

A sieve may not hold water, but it will hold another sieve.

i5-6600, 16Gigs, ITX Corsair 250D, R9 390, 120Gig M.2 boot, 500Gig SATA SSD, no HDD

you get a psu with a better rating but otherwise this looks like a solid build.

That PSU is fine.

Eh, get a Cryorig M9i or BeQuiet! PURE ROCK. The Evo doesn't deserve as much attention as it gets.

I'm running a 24" monitor at 1920x1080. 60hz

I'm not gonna use an SSD, I believe it's just overpriced and doesnt give me enough space for what I need.

atm I'm just posting the build here to see if everything is nice, I'm not really planning on replacing anything unless it is required af.

EDIT: And does anyone know if Kinguin is a trustworthy site for an OS?

Only problem is that a 1060 is a bottleneck for an i7 6700K. A 1070 would be a better match if you can afford it.

If its 60Hz, I feel like the i7 would be a bit of a waste for games. Do you plan on editing videos and streaming?

Most likely, yes.

Well, your are going to get some benefits out of it then. Do consider getting a 120GB SSD, you can save up by ditching the thermal paste (You get some with almost every cooler in the market) and maybe looking for a still decent power supply with less wattage (650W is a bit of waste for a 1060, maybe 550W).

I just don't understand the point of an SSD, space>speed

You don't need to be limited with a SSD only, get a HDD and a SSD, install the OS in the SSD with some of your favourite games. Put everything else in the hard drive. It's really a pain to deal with a slow mech drives in some games due to loading times (particularly games like battlefield), boot times also improve a lot.

If you put your OS and programs that you most frequently use on it, your computer will feel much more responsive. The computer would boot faster. Then use the hard drives for mass storage.

It's just way too expensive, I've alreay gone multiple thousands over what I intended the build to cost

I've been using HDD's for atleast 5 years now, no big deal if the computer doesnt respond for a little bit.

If you are concerned about cost, there are several things you can do:

CPU: there's no real advantage (in gaming) to having an i7 over an i5. You could save a lot by getting an i5-6600K

RAM: 16Gigs is nice, but 8Gigs is really all you need.

Motherboard - there are lots of less expensive Z170 motherboards.

Cooler - a basic CM Hyper 212 works almost as well as that AIO unit, but costs a lot less. (a few degrees extra temperature won't hurt anything)

Thermal paste - most coolers come with thermal paste (the Hyper 212 and that AIO one do), so there's no need to buy any extra (unless you screw up the install :) )

With all those cost savings you could easily afford an SSD. And, believe me, once you get an SSD you'll never go back to just using a hard drive. The whole system become noticeably much more responsive

A sieve may not hold water, but it will hold another sieve.

i5-6600, 16Gigs, ITX Corsair 250D, R9 390, 120Gig M.2 boot, 500Gig SATA SSD, no HDD

I ordered the stuff an hour ago, too late pal :(

Anyways, the reason I'm going with that MOBO is because of it having wireless connection.
