So I'm planning my first CableMod purchase and I have one question. The cable kits they sell, is there any risk involved with using them on a PSU not in their list of "supported" models? Buying a kit from them, obviously, is not cheap. But I've noticed most, if not all, of the PSU's they "support" are $100+ and I was just wondering if there's any reason you CAN'T slap these cables into any modular/semi-modular unit. I myself have recently grabbed the Fractal Integra M 550W.

The extensions can be used with any PSUs, but the actual replacement kits can only work with compatible PSUs.
