I've been googling this for hours and I have read TONS of answers, none of which fit my situation...

Show processes from all users is checked, I have tried RAMMap, and Resource monitor, None of it is showing what is taking 8GB OF MY RAM. AT IDLE.

Getting extremely frustrated now.

(This is a separate issue from my previous topic. Different system)
I had a program before, that would run like a scan for a few moments and create an ETL (I think, not 100%) file that I could then open with some program and that would finally show me what was taking the ram so I could delete it, but I can't for the life of me find that program again!

I would really like to find this program again if anyone has an idea of what it could be?
Like I said, it would run a scan, with a countdown, I think I had to use a command prompt to start the scan, after a few seconds it would create a file I could open and look at what memory and everything was used. To clarify, it wasn't a scan, so much as it was watching live for a few moments what my PC was doing.

Someone please help.

TL;DR - Memory at 54% at idle
Nothing in Task Manager
Nothing in Resource Monitor
Nothing in RAMMap

Try Iobit Advanced System Care, it works great for reducing resource usage, speeding up boot times, etc. I've found their software to be great, and they've decreased my average RAM usage by ~25%.

Okay,

so I realize only one person commented here, but in case it somehow pops up in google search for someone...

I FOUND MY PROBLEM!!! I am soooo ecstatic Caps can't even handle me right now!!!!!!!!

My problem was UTORRENT! Or more specifically, it was the way Windows (7 ultimate in my case) handles the program...

To fix the problem,

Start > *right click* computer > Properties > Device Manager > *expand* Disk Drives > *right click* Properties > Policies > *uncheck* Enable write caching on the device

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy I finally found this leak.
