When you say unanswered, do you mean that the topic has had no replies, or that none have been marked as solved? If no replies, topics that have no replies are rare, but we are aware that some people would like this, and some ideas have previously been suggested to make a replacement for the recent topics feed that you can customise to only show topics with no responses, which is something that we may implement in the future. If instead you mean that it hasn't been marked as solved, most topics don't get marked as solved - in the first page of Troubleshooting, at time of posting, there are no topics that have been marked as solved.

They weren't ignored - I distinctly remember saying that it was something that I would look into. The thing is, my list of things to look into and potentially add is very long, and the amount of time that I have is very limited, so many things that I would like to do, and which would make the site much better, don't end up happening.

I sympathize.  I hate putting add-ons into a forum.  Every update tends to break them.  So I understand if they are not implemented.  However, they are standard fair on other forums software suites with no add-ons or tweaks.  Just a thought.
