CMOS Reset after every restart !

HI, i got this motherboard ( used ) ASUS-P5k-Premium. Everything is working fine but except whenever i restart my PC or Turn or or there is any Electricity Cut off. It says Set your CMOS on boot and in bios date automatically goes back to 2002.

I have the latest bios.
One thing i want to mention, this motherboard requires 8pin from psu connector but im only using 4 pins.

Is that the cause?

The 8-pin power the CPU only. I can't see how it would affect anything here since the CPU isn't drawing anywhere near the 75W the 4-pin can already provide. Off the top of my head I'd say you have a bad battery. There's a CR2032 somewhere near the CMOS that keeps the settings and clock running when you're not powered by the PSU. Like all batteries, this one goes out over time too. It's cheap AF to replace. Just replace it with the same type.

As long as it's a CR2032 3V battery, it'll work.
