THis probably sounds dumb to the people out there who know anything about networking. But I was wondering if it's possible to use a wired and wireless connection in Linux at the same time, so that I can video chat and play an online game at the same time faster.

Technically that would not change the speed at which your network works at since they are both going through the same connection thus sharing the same bandwidth. If the wired and wireless networks are separate meaning not going through the same modem then theoretically that would help if Linux supports network load sharing.

Your internet pipe is still the same, therefore, it doesn't matter how you aggregate your LAN pipes, it's all going out the same one and your speed isn't going to change.
