Shit, I'd try removing third-party security software (Avast) before I uninstall Windows updates.

That's what i did, then i found out that i did not update windows 10 since i installed it ( I may have disabled notifications for that a while ago). Now windows is up to date so i'll test my problem again :)

Hi, my computer started behaving strangely yesterday and this is very annoying. Whenever I go afk for 5 min my computer stops and get back to the login screen. It's not a normal reset it's an error that shuts down my computer. I need some help to solve the problem . I tried finding the problem but i can't seem to find any solutions. Thanks.

You're fine as long as it doesn't crash while you're at the keyboard.xD

Go to your event viewer and find the error codes for when the computer is crashing.

You might be able to quickly fix it by changing your power saving options if the problem arises from inactivity.

- ASUS X99 Deluxe - i7 5820k - Nvidia GTX 1080ti SLi - 4x4GB EVGA SSC 2800mhz DDR4 - Samsung SM951 500 - 2x Samsung 850 EVO 512 -

- EK Supremacy EVO CPU Block - EK FC 1080 GPU Blocks - EK XRES 100 DDC - EK Coolstream XE 360 - EK Coolstream XE 240 -

When your PC is idle on Windows after 5 minutes the computer will start working with the application "Antimalware Service Executable" which is a Windows Defender Service.

I don't really know what it does, maybe just moving some files or whatever, but it uses about 5-20% of your CPU on a i7 CPU (give or take).

It stops after a while. It's really not something to worry about, but in your case it might shut down your PC.

I've been in the eventviewer and it said it closed unexpectedly and a couple of readyboot messages.

I just deactivated the idle program windows defender was starting (MpIdleTask). I'll be back in 10 min to see if its working. ;)
