update stuck

hey there everyone, just like the picture shown, my update stuck at 45% since yesterday morning

It lets you hide updates just like you could in Windows 7/8. Install this and hide the troublesome update.

You'll probably need to reboot and retry. Delete anything you find in C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download\ but not the Download folder itself.

Open control manager>system and security>administrative tools>services and open the application and find windows update service stop it and then start it. hope it works

Hey dude  try the following:
open CMD (as administartor)
do this commands:

Stop windows update service:
net stop wuauserv

Update service restart automatically:
sc config quauserv start= disabled

Start update service again:
net start quauserv

After this is done try downloading the update again

did it fix your problem?

true  but im quinda old school i guess  and when you do it directly in cmd, u wont have the gui layer fucking up for you

Well, there is this tool dated Aug 18, 2016, called "Windows Update Troubleshooter" -click here-

Just run the tool and follow the instructions given

true, but that tool is quinda wonky, in my experience atleast

quick update, i manage to stop and restart the update

 

and now this happen

Have you used Windows Update Troubleshooter since its construction date of Aug 18 2016?

i used it last week on my msi gt72 2qe laptop  it diddnt find any problems. I fixed it with the cmd commands i posted earier!

I read up on that error code, most likely its a virus prog with real time protection that interfering! try turning off your virus program and update again

a last resort action i usually use with update that fail are: start the os in safemode (with networking) and try installing the update  that works 90% of the time in my experience

how u start it is start win+r --> msconfig.exe --> under system configuration click boot tab --> select safeboot check box, click network, and then ok

okay after another restart, it stuck at 45% again
