Hello there.

Recently I bought ASUS vq248qe. Wanted to use that 144hz. So I connected it in with cable I got in package (DVI), now when I go in screen resolution and advanced settings i can only put 60hz. There is no 144 option. Can some1 please help me. I have AMD r7 250 graphic card.

Try disconnecting the monitor from power for a minute.

Try setting a custom resolution with the Custom Resolution Utility, after you set it up then restart and see if the option appears in the Windows options.

I went in Custom Resolution Utility and changed to 144hz clicked apply and comes notification that my custom resolution settings aren't compatible with this display

Try 120 Hz.

you need a DVI-D or DP for 144hz

That sounds like you are using Single-Link DVI. I'm not sure why that would be though, if you are using the cable that came with the monitor. Does your graphics card not have DisplayPort?

 

Also restart your computer if you haven't done that since resetting the monitor.
