A friend of my mom is planning to build a new PC. She doesn't know how to. So I might help her build one. The thing I wanna ask is she does photo editing sometimes. She is not a professional, but she has a DSLR camera and took some photo taking classes. And now it is her hobby. I am pretty sure that what she does is some basic stuff, import export , resetting white balance and stuff.

I want to ask tbis: will an i3 do her just fine? Or I need to put a i5 in it. And also is it okay to not include a dedicated graphics card in it? I felt that the igpu will do the trick for her. The most demanding task she does is photo editing. Other than that she only browse the web sometimes and watching online videos.

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.

if she is only doing light editing an i3 would be okay but id recommend getting an i5 also it would be a good idea to get a dedicated GPU for rendering (some programs use the gpu to render the image)
