mSATA is just a smaller form factor, I guess if you care about space go for it,

The normal drive is probs cheaper though

actually msata is 10$ cheaper.

ok then xD

Actually, get the SATA drive. There might be weird compatibility stuff with your motherboard otherwise

why ? I mean, the motherboard has a dedicated msata slot why would I have any problems ?

Hi there :)

AS the guys pointed out, mSATA and SATAIII cannot really be compared. mSATA, just like M.2, 2.5" or 3.5" is a form factor meaning the size of the drive and where it fits in the case. SATAIII, like PCIe, PATA, SATAII, SATAI etc., is a connection type from which depends the performance of the drive and what you can do with it.

To put it simple, asking if you should get a mSATA or a SATAIII drive is sort of asking if you should get a truck or a diesel car. :)

Which specific model are you looking at? What type of usage are you planning to have? On what system are you going to use the drive on?

Well, both the SSD and the motherboard use the SATAIII interface so you should be OK and shouldn't see any difference between this and a regular 2.5" SATAIII SSD.

Be careful with second-hand SSDs an always request the raw values of the S.M.A.R.T. status of the drive so you know what is its condition and how much of it was used.
