Case problems

I recently was given a case second hand for my new PC but the bracket for the psu is missing and the previous owner said he does not have it. Should I buy a new case or try to DIY it.

If you know what your doing, DIY it. Or else, just buy one

depends entirely on the case. if its a bottom mount PSU that would be very easy to fix something up for that even if you don't know what you're doing. If its a top mounted PSU and the bracket is responsible for holding it in place without it falling onto your components then it could be a different story (but if you're handy enough then this shouldn't be a big deal either).
