[Jailbroken] iPhone stuck on Loading Screen

*UPDATE:FIXED AFTER THE BATTERY DRAINED COMPLETELY*

Hi guys,

My friend has an iphone 4 that is jailbroken and he accidently reset his phone by the reset button with "content and settings", instead of the usual restore.

How do I fix it? I tried restoring it but its stuck on the spinning circle loading thing, and wont get detected by iTunes. I tried hodling power button for 1 min straight and nothing happened.

Power it down flat by pressing home button and top button. Turn it on whyle holding volume up untill its fully up.

Think that will work but with the Jailbreak for ios 6-6.1.2 i thought they disabled that button? And anyways you can never restore a jailbreak from within the phone you have to use a computer to get it back to regular IOS

I am a happy wuffy

I did that for 1 minute straight, nothing. Including the home button

Put it into DFU mode.

Power off first. (if you can)

hold sleep button 3 sec then home + sleep button for 10 seconds.... then while still holding the home button release the sleep button for another 10 sec.

The problem is that I cant even turn it off.

I tried home and sleep button, for some reason it wont do anything..

I don't think waiting until it runs out of battery means anything. I think it will get stuck again.

If itunes wont detect it. A jailbreaking program might detect the device (like green poison? i can't remember the jailbreaking programs since I havn't used apple products in a long time) . And from that you can re-jailbreak it again... then get it back to normal if you want after that.

did you try keep holding the home button after 10 sec of holding home + sleep?

yep.

Also, wanna know the stupid thing about it?

Home button takes several clicks to do something before it had this, so i dont even know if the home button is working while i do this method...

Its not apples fault hah its your friends the restore/reset buttons are not working with a jailbreak as you can see it kinda breaks your phone, If its partially restored then you can bring it into the apple store because they will not be able to see that its jailbroken because the data is corrupted.

In Apple's defense, this is not their problem and in fact has nothing to do with the fact that it is an iPhone.  The problem is that the user tried to change the crucial software required for the system to work.  This is what happens if you don't know exactly what you are doing.

Desktop: Intel Core i7-6700K, ASUS Z170-A, ASUS STRIX GTX 1080 Ti, 16GB DDR4 RAM, 512 GB Samsund 840 Pro, Seasonic X series 650W PSU, Fractal Design Define R4, 2x5TB HDD
