I've always used a desktop but it's too big/annoying to travel with
I don't like any laptops. They're expensive/slow and hard to upgrade and have bad keyboards.
Is it possible to build a PC that can be used like a laptop? I don't mind it being a bit extra big/awkward

I have an idea, if anyone has done this before or you think you know why it wouldn't work well, let me know:
What if you build a small form factor pc, and glue/velcro a monitor to the side (I'm not sure where to get lightweight monitors)
Maybe stick a battery somewhere in/on it if that's possible
Also attach a detachable keyboard somewhere on it
Maybe put a handle on it so it's easy to carry around the house.

These are cases that I think would work best

EDIT: Custom plexiglass case! https://cdn.instructables.com/FMT/0R64/HM33VJF4/FMT0R64HM33VJF4.MEDIUM.jpg?width=614

Could this work?

Might want to search up briefcase builds. I probably the closest thing without being a laptop.

Daily driver I literally carry around all day:

Clevo P770DM-G: i7 6700 @ -190mv || 980m || 16GB 2133 MHz || 250Gb 850 Evo || 250 850 Pro || 1TB 7200RPM HDD ||

GPU overclock:

+260/200 @ +25mv max stable before I hit power limit because of my 230W power adaptor : (

+285/230 @ +50mv lasted for 1 hour of Valley benchmark : )

briefcase builds are super interesting!

If I made sure the monitor was detachable (is it possible for the monitor to be wireless? Probably not)
I could use the mini desktop even while in a car/bus/train/plane or whatever.
I could keep the desktop in my backpack (Maybe not, it would overheat, but I could leave it on the floor under me at least)
And then I just have a super lightweight monitor plus a split keyboard on me. Specifically the UHK as it's very compact and can also control the mouse well.

An ITX build wouldn't be too difficult.  Get a Gechic portable monitor (USB powered but still uses HDMI so you don't get the lag and can use a GPU) some of them have VESA adapters you could modify to attach to the side of an ITX case.

Thanks for the suggestion. Those look nice, especially with the little stand.
Is it possible to get a bezel-less touch monitor though?

That would be a bit more difficult.  I don't know of a commercial product.  The bezels are pretty large on those but they've never been a problem for me.

Here's a 14" 1366x768 HDMI touchscreen without a bezel...

15.6" as well...

That is very cool, and pretty cheap. I'd prefer 1080 resolution though
