HELLO GOOD PEOPLE!!

I'm looking for a gaming mouse. Been using a crappy one for a while and with battlefield 1, call of duty and others coming, I think this is a good time to upgrade. As you can see, my primary focus is on FPS, specially multiplayer. I play TPS or Hack and Slash (single player campaign) casually. But don't play (and isn't either) anything like LOL or WOW.

So I researched a little and came with a solution. Logitech G502. But it is a little over my budget and the whole "internet talk" regarding the feet wearing off quickly really bothers me as hell. I can go with it's little brother Hyperion Fury too. But will that be a good investment?

Most importantly, anyone has a suggestion? Anything you're using and is super satisfying? A couple of things to consider tho...

1. My budget is around 45-60 USD

2. I am a "claw-grip"er

3. Will appreciate a sniper button

4. Mionix, Zowie etc aren't available in my country

So let me hear your opinion people! If your suggestion is too good, I can overshoot my budget a little. THANKS IN ADVANCE!!!

(p. s. do I need a mouse pad with your suggested mouse/mice? using a non-brand and can spend a little to change that)

The G402 is actually a better choice for FPS players, due to its lighter weight. If a sniper button is not mandatory, wait for the G403 as it has the best sensor available and similarly to Zowie has a no-gimmick design.

A cheap mousepad like the Steelseries QCK or the Roccat Taito will suffice.

what mouse pad are you using? I heard the sensor is near perfect!!

any other details? like how light/heavy the mouse is? or what about the overall feel??

I dont use a mouse pad.

There is a thumb button (only 1) my fingers sometime does not reach out fully to the thumb button but I am fine. Maybe my hands bit small.

Overall a nice mouse. Not so heavy. 4 extra button on the side. It has a g switch (forgot what is actually called) which when you hold it you can access other buttons (just like CTRL in windows)

Feels nice. I love it

the scroll wheel of g402 bothers me a little, compared to g502's. but yes, the heavy weight is also an issue.

g403 is a bit pricey. not sure if I'll look into that.

It's listed for less, unless you are looking at a discounted G502. The scroll wheel of the G402 is good - it's nothing special, but not as big and clunky as the one on the G502.

I have a discounted price here, around 45-50 USD for that. G402 will cost me about 35 USD...

I use a Steel Series Rival 300.  It should be in the budget range.  Like you, I was using a PoS mouse.  I noticed a huge difference in performance after I got my Rival setup for my feel (I guess you could say?).  I also have a Razer Goliathus mat as my mouse pad.  A smart investment.  Its a little pricey, but it does a good job.

I used Kinzu 1 time and didn't like the "feel" of it. rival 300 looks similar shaped...

It does look similar.  I've never tried the Kinzu, so I can't compare.  However, from my experiences, the Rival is a great mouse.  It doesn't have a ton of buttons (7 to be exact), but enough that can easily be utilized.  Are you a claw gripper, or palm user?  I find that the Rival 300 is for palm users, and not so much for claw grippers.
