So during the past several months I have encountered this problem with my pc ONLY while playing CSGO. Randomly, usually in faceit/esea (these are separate leagues from the normal game) matches i will crash randomly: first my second monitor goes to a dark blue screen, and then shortly after causing my main monitor to go black. Sometimes my game comes back up from this and it doesnt fully crash the PC, but othertimes it reboots into the resolution that i use for cs, which is 1280x960 4:3. There are never any crash reports, and i have used EVGA's precisionX software to detect artifacts and such, and none ever appear. The same deal is with other benchmarks or games running in 1080p. I have no idea how this issue happens, or if anyone else has had the same problem or knows of a fix. If anyone does have a fix, help would be greatly appreciated.
System Specs:
EVGA GTX 970 SSC
I5 4460
16GBs of Ripjaws ram
evga 750w g2 psu
msi z97 g45 gaming MOBO

OS, WIN10
and CSGO is on my SSD whereas other games are on the HDD.
Thanks again for any help :/

I've had a weird, similar thing happen to me with Source games and Unigine benchmarks. It turned out to be the firewall. So, if you're using an aftermarket firewall, try setting it to gaming mode.

CPU: i7 4770K  |  Corsair H80i  |  ASUS Z87-Pro  |  8GB Corsair 1866Mhz  |  GPU: MSI Gaming X RX 480 8GB  |  Corsair HX  750

hey guys thanks for the replies, and no i have not overclocked anything, the gpu already boosts up to 1392mhz and i dont need it to get any hotter. Also im using windows defender, which doesnt have a gaming mode. I've been thinking it could be due to my hdmi connection on my second monitor, as when i unplug it i get similar glitches with my screens, just a thought though.

First step would be to replace the HDMI cable. Next step would be to disable your firewall, if the issue happens often, and verify that it could be.
