Hi!

I've recently started experiencing several freezes on my computer, sometimes followed by a bluescreen. This could happen at any point while browsing, streaming, or gaming. But now, it's gotten so bad that I'm no longer able to turn the computer on, because it freezes at different stages of booting up.. Sometimes the computer doesn't react to the reset button, and so I have to cut the power just to restart the thing. I'm not running any OC, but my stock cpu voltage are insanely high(6700K). At auto during normal usage(browsing and some gaming), I've seen the voltage go all the way up to 1.419..

I would presume that cpu was bad, given that it runs at such a high volt. But my cpu has already been sent back from repair, and they said that they found nothing wrong. So I'm wondering, is it possible that somthing else is causing my problems, or did they simply do a bad job at checking my cpu?

All help is appreciated :)

Check your RAM. Boot only with one Stick and repeat it with every Stick in every DIMM Slot. Corrupt RAM often causes Problems like that. Cant say anything about your Voltage tho.

You could try to reset your mobo settings to the default that might help with the alleged overvolting.  I would recommend booting from a usb or cd and fetching the minidump file. you could read that file on another pc with a bluescreenviewer and find out what is causing the bsod.

---minidump usally located  "C:\Windows\Minidump\blablablab.dmp"

below software that I often use

I've reset mobo settings to default multiple times.. But I will certainly try finding the file :)

I use 4x4gb ram, and I've tried every stick in every slot. Is it possible that all four stick are corrupt?

Possible? Yes. But very unlikely.

I think your Problem is something else.

Any suggestions?

First you should check the event manager after a crash and see if there is any usefull information.

And you should run "Memtest" to make sure your RAM is ok. A PC dont use the same Clusters every time. If some Clusters are corrupt and your System try to use that spezific Area, it can/will cause a BS ect.

Run several instances of Memtest, each 1024mb big till you reach your whole Memory Size. Let the Tests finish. This will take several hours. If your RAM has Problems, Memtest will find them.

well, I would if I could.. but I'm not even able to fully turn my PC on. It freezes every time. I can enter the bios without problems, but when windows is loading, it freezes at different points every time. Makes me think maybe the fault lies within windows, or the ssd windows is stored on..

Boot from CD or USB Stick and try the Repair Function.
