ups can a ups bottleneck

Hi, quick question. I have a 650 watt power supply but only ever draw about 400ish, but I have my power running through a 350watt ups that also has an ultrawide monitor running through it as well. can that possibly create a power bottleneck on my devices?

Are you sure it's not a 350WHr capacity?

 

I'm also led to believe UPSes should be able to provide as much power as your mains. Or close to it.

What UPS and system spec do you have we can get a better idea of what you will need but it will not be really a bottleneck. What will occur however is it will simply just not work on battery backup as it will trip the over current protection on the UPS unit since your pulling more power than it would be capable of delivering on backup.

I went looking around just to research a little and depending on the type it may only use the batter once it detects power goes out, otherwise it uses mains line.

 

So if this is how yours works, then it's not going to do its job while you're gaming.
