i wanted to know how much ram will i need for my usage

 

my usages

 

i) i do 3d animation for 2/3 of a day

ii) i always have two media players playing some movie or song

iii)i also do video editing some times with some effects

AND the final

iv)and i have 2 browser running with 30 tabs open in each of them

 

i do all this together so yeah

Well I'd personally recommend at least 16GB, but it depends on your budget. If you can afford it, get more. I know After Effects eats up all my 8GB of RAM easily :P

Just throw in 16GB if you can afford it and be set.

look on your motherboard manual to see the recommended module kits for your m/board and get the fastest and max amount you can afford to buy, best with bigger capacity modules then you can upgrade if you need in the future if you have any free slots.

Atleast 16 gig if not 32 gig kit to be safe.

Go for either a 16 gb kit or a 32 gb kit, and aim for something like 1600mhz or 1866mhz. 32 gb would be preferable but if you don't want to cough up the cash 16 gb should still get the job done fine :)

for 3d animation the more ram you have the faster you do rendering. Go for the maximum that your motherboard supports
