is the msi gtx 980 reference card good? my friend said he will give me his for £100 ($132) when he gets his 1080 

and then i found a barebone pc where all i need is a ssd and a os

indeed it is, but i want 2 know if the reference model is good. i'm defo buying it off and he accepts csgo skins which is sound

It would perform as well as any of the aftermarket ones, it might run a bit hotter, and be a bit louder, but for the price it is worth it.
