Recommend my next case

Morbidos

So, after redoing my watercooling I have decided my case is to cramped and I want a new case, I have thought up a few requirements

- Must be able to hold a 360 rad

- Must have PSU in basement

- Must have good cable management possibility

Initially I was thinking of the HAF stacker 935 and put the small part in the bottom as a basement and to house the watercooling but this case is no longer available here in cold old Noway so tadaaa I'm screwd... anyone know of any good cases that can do the above?

Price point, I don't know... Just give me tips and I'll have to check the Norwegian prices along the way..

360mm rad support and a basement isn't easy to find unless you want a huge case.

Anidees AI-Crystal is the best non huge case that meets your requirements.

Without accounting for size you have

NZXT H440, Thermaltake Core X71, Phanteks Enthoo Primo, Corsair 900D, EVGA DG-8 series

- ASUS X99 Deluxe - i7 5820k - Nvidia GTX 1080ti SLi - 4x4GB EVGA SSC 2800mhz DDR4 - Samsung SM951 500 - 2x Samsung 850 EVO 512 -

- EK Supremacy EVO CPU Block - EK FC 1080 GPU Blocks - EK XRES 100 DDC - EK Coolstream XE 360 - EK Coolstream XE 240 -

Corsair Carbide Clear 400C or 600C, although if you don't mind the lack of a basement for the PSU the Fractal Design Define S is a better choice.

I currently have a Fractal design define r5 and i absolutely love it. The case is extremely quiet and it looks really nice without those flashy colors everywhere. I don't know if it can mount a 360 rad but check out the define 5 as well.

Looks real clean, I'll give it that! but I think I'm going for something a bit more flashy:)

The 400C is a bit small, and the 600C i just dont like.. the whole upside down thing... IDK not my taste...

Phanteks?

Not sure on the 360 rad... sure I watched a review and they did say it would...

Looks clean... but I think it's a bit small... the Kandalf I have now is cramped...

the Anidees looks stunning... wow... I might have to look into that, it's not available over here tho but I found it on amazon so.. maby! Thanx

*Edit* after watching Lukes review on that case... I'll pass... yet a nother "could have been, but is not" product... crist..

The NZXT, never liked it much.. for no good reason

Core x71, That is case porn... out of stock in both the stores over here that has it for sale so... might wait and se how that pans out

Enthoo Primo, not available, and I didnt like the desing.. looks wierd IMO

900D: it is a contender... a bit dull and expensive over here atleast but I'll put it on my list...

EVGA DG-8: drooling over this but, not available here and I doubt it will be afordable if it becomes available...

Thnx for very good suggestions!

Maybe a Thermaltake View 27

Not bad at all... shame it's not available here, but if it were it'd probably cost my most of my sole and an arm to boot

  • 4 weeks later...

I think I have landed on a 900D, as long as noone comes up with something better between now and when I have saved up enough money:)

Do you want it to look pretty (e.g. do you care about aesthetics) ?

Budget?

Any preference on material (Aluminium or Plastic)?

Judge a product on its own merits AND the company that made it.

How to setup MSI Afterburner OSD | How to make your AMD Radeon GPU more efficient with Radeon Chill | (Probably) Why LMG Merch shipping to the EU is expensive

Oneplus 6 (Early 2023 to present) | HP Envy 15" x360 R7 5700U (Mid 2021 to present) | Steam Deck (Late 2022 to present)

Mid 2023 AlTech Desktop Refresh - AMD R7 5800X (Mid 2023), XFX Radeon RX 6700XT MBA (Mid 2021), MSI X370 Gaming Pro Carbon (Early 2018), 32GB DDR4-3200 (16GB x2) (Mid 2022

Noctua NH-D15 (Early 2021), Corsair MP510 1.92TB NVMe SSD (Mid 2020), beQuiet Pure Wings 2 140mm x2 & 120mm x1 (Mid 2023),

Fractal Define S or the CM Master Case 5 are great options then.

Yes I have looked at them both actually but as stated earlier I think I'll go with the 900D as I like the shear size of the thing... having the Aquastream XT pump, that needs it's space and I dont plan on using the Aquainlett for it, was looking at the T-virus reservoir's so I think the 900D will suit me fine...

Cro Cop is smaller than Bob Sapp and Hong Man Choi but we see how those fights went.

It has all the support you could as for and much better build quality. It's not small though. It's a little taller than the huge 780T. It supports dual 360 rads, has no basement but at least the PSU is shrouded, and the airflow is fantastic. Not sure why you'd get a 900D when it's price and size overkill for what it is. At that price you should conside CaseLabs or a CM Cosmos II with a window from MNPCTech.
